Six (6) aid stations and two (2) water-only stops will be in place on the race route. Two of the aid stations, at mile 7.5 and mile 12 in Shark Valley, will serve all runners except for the 5K. Water, sports drink, ice, electrolytes, “runner food” and other items will be offered.
Four additional aid stations will serve 50-K and 50-mile runners. The first of these will be available at the Village, outside, as runners arrive and continue moving west. The remaining three will be set-up on Loop Road: at mile 20, just after the turn onto Loop Road, at the 50K turnaround at mile 24.5, and at the 50-mile turnaround at mile 33.5. Each of these will offer water, sports drink, soft drinks, ice, “runner food”, fruit and possibly additional food items, and more.
In addition, two (2) water-only stops will be set-up. The first will be in Shark Valley at the 5K turnaround and will be accessible to all runners. The second will be located on Loop Road at approximately mile 29 to support 50-mile runners.
